as the "grandmother" of the Dances of
Universal Peace. Mystic, poet and artist, she
dedicated her life to embodying the divine
through sacred dance. Samuel Lewis said, "Ruth
St. Denis has the faculty of drawing music and
dance right out of the cosmos, out of the heart of
God. She taught me this faculty". |
